The IFORD Institute for Disease Prevention Engineering

The IFORD Institute Was Established to Bring the World Back from the Precipice of Treatment Resistant Superbacteria and Improve Healthcare Operations Bringing Them in Line with Standard Industrial Practices

Introductory Video for the I-Ford Institute

The I-Ford Institute is a dedicated patient and staff advocate.

This video describes I-Ford’s plans and by implication the problems of Healthcare Acquired Disease (HAD) and begins to direct the viewer down a path towards the obvious solutions to the problem of antibiotic resistance in pathogens. The implications of HAD’s seem to be lost on the entire 3 trillion dollar medical business in the USA. What is not lost on healthcare is the idea of making a buck.

I-FORD Institute’s Purpose

Is to improve the life-expectancy of antibiotics through the following four efforts:

  • First, to bring full awareness to the public about the dangers of self-created strains of deadly pathogens and what engineering can do remedy these dangers, while educating healthcare professionals in the art and science of disease prevention.
  • To create designs to build and operate new hospitals with standards that the I-FORD Institute is promoting using disease prevention engineering techniques. And to provide education and tools to allow engineers and technicians to gain certification as disease prevention professionals.
  • To gather information that was discovered as a result of research by the scientific community, you, and putting it to work by through the application of ingenuity and design to solve HAD’s. This includes sponsoring research projects directed specifically toward the development of information and technology to combat HAD’s.
  • And to inform and lobby international governments to control the use of antibiotics by removing them from animal husbandry and from availability in simple bazaars and shops, and rededicating them for strictly controlled medical purposes.

Introduction to Disease Prevention Engineering

iFORD BookPublished by the Institute for Disease Prevention Engineering, this is the effort to shine a light on the solvable problems of healthcare acquired disease.  Disease that occur daily with the healthcare industry and is the third leading cause of death annually. These problems represent an industry failure to seek affordable solutions because the industry itself has a flawed understanding of what it’s job is.

Job one in the healthcare industry should be to first protect the patient while curing them.  The “Protect the Public” attitude of engineering community is the positive direction to proceed in.
